What Kind of Church Are We?

Freedom Fellowship Christian Church is a Spirit-Filled New Testament Church dedicated to carrying out the five-fold ministry as stated by Jesus Christ. Our manner of worship is Urban-Contemporary with an emphasis on praise. A church where the fruit of the Spirit is the evidence that the gifts of the Spirit are in operation.
As a people of God — His sheep, our vision for Freedom Fellowship Christian Church is to be the pasture [the haven, the resting place] for nurturing His sheep who were lost and scattered — to strengthen the weak, heal the sick, and bind up the injured. Our purpose is stated by Jesus Christ in Matthew 22:37-40, (The Great Commandment) and Matthew 28:18-20, (The Great Commission). The purposes for the Church as stated by Christ in these scriptures are five (5) fold.
Worship — We are a church of praise and exaltation.
Love the Lord with all your heart. Matthew 4:10 states (NIV) “Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.” Psalm 34:3 (KJV) “O magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt his name together.” What kind of church are we?
Ministry — We are a church of ministry. Ministering to those in need.
Love your neighbor as yourself. We must show God’s love to others. Remember our vision. Ezekiel 34:15-16, Isaiah 43:19, and Romans 8:1-4.
Evangelism — We are an evangelistic church.
Go make disciples. We exist to communicate God’s word to a lost and dying world.
Fellowship — We are a church of fellowship.
Baptizing them. Baptism identifies us with the rest of the body of Christ.
Discipleship — We are a teaching church.
Teaching them to obey. Colossians 1:28 states “We continue to preach Christ to each person using all wisdom to admonish and teach everyone, in order to bring each one into God’s presence as a mature person in Christ.”
