2008 FFCC Restoration Project

Cleaning, Restoration, and Fellowship

It is time once again for our spring cleanup at the church. For the next couple of months, we are going to focus our efforts on restoring and improving areas of our Fellowship Hall, Sanctuary and grounds in order to prepare it for various activites during the summer months and general growth in the near future.

On April 17th, 2008 at 6 p.m., the Home Depot U.S.A. will be sponsoring a workshop at Freedom Fellowship Christian Church on how to prepare for and lay tile flooring. We would like everyone to come out and learn how to prepare for such a project.

The purpose of this page is to be able to show what is being done and what needs to be done at our facilities. We are going to list the room work projects to be , what supplies and tools are needed in order to complete the projects, and when we can gather to work. Our first day for the restoration project will be April 19th, 2008 at 9 a.m.

FFCC would like to thank the organizations and churches who have committed to coming out and assisting us with this project. Through your time, donations and service, we are hoping to bring all of our facilities up to the point where they can be used year round for youth and adult activities. Whether it be summer programs for the community's youth or learning programs for the adults, FFCC is committed to allowing God to define our ministry and our direction within the Knoxville area. TILING PROJECT Needs: (will post after training)
Sanctuary Foyer	This is the entrance into the sanctuary.	Restore the tile entrance to the sanctuary to a new, brighter and more reliable flooring. The current tile is breaking up and is ruined. We need help laying the tile on the first level and the 2 side floors.
Fellowship Hall Bathroom Floor	This floor will be the entrance to the new Fellowship Hall Gentlemen's bathroom.	New tile needs to be laid, not only in the hallway but in the bathroom. We need to check the plumbing for adequate/working hot and cold water. Extend new tile flooring all the way back to the Future Day Care area.
PAINTING PROJECT Needs: Please bring any paint brushes, rollers, and paint troths that you can.
Ministry Library	This area will be used for the church and any youth summer programs.	Move Pool Table to the Youth game room area. Paint walls in this room. Add new door with window viewing pane.
Fellowship Hall 2^nd floor Hallway	Hall way extends from Front of Building to the back	Paint Hallway walls all the way down.

LANDSCAPING PROJECTS Needs: Please bring any wheel barrels, shovels, work gloves and hand shovels that you can.
Parking Lot Island Beds	To look nice	Spread Mulch

The answer to that one is simple! We want you come out and participate! There is a lot of work to do.
